ASI dies from gunshot wounds in Mohali: He was the retired DGP's gunman; his wife said he was upset about not getting leave.

An ASI died in Sector-80 of Mohali on Thursday morning after being shot. According to the police, it was a case of accidental firing. It is reported that he sustained approximately 4-5 bullet injuries from his own pistol. The deceased has been identified as ASI Omkar Singh. He was posted as a gunman with retired DGP Arpit Shukla. Family members have reached the hospital and mortuary. According to family sources, they received a call in the morning informing them about Omkar's death.
