A retired ASI from Chandigarh consumed poison at the SSP office: He had arrived in Khanna regarding a property dispute and was upset that his parents were not being taken into action.

In Ludhiana's Khanna, a retired ASI of the Chandigarh Police consumed poison outside the SSP office around 12 pm on Monday. After his condition worsened, he was admitted to a government hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. The retired ASI, Amarjit Singh, has been embroiled in a long-standing dispute with his own parents over property and financial transactions. Amarjit Singh had initiated police action against his parents in connection with this matter.
