Ahead of the Punjab Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has outlined a major campaign to strengthen its political ground in the state and corner the ruling government. The BJP is set to launch a 12-day statewide mega yatra from September 18 to 30, making the growing drug crisis and deteriorating law and order situation in the state key election issues. The yatra will begin on September 18 with the national president of the BJP, Nitin Gadkari, starting from Pathankot.
