The police in Khanna, a town in Ludhiana, have arrested an accused for allegedly framing a woman by posing as a fake DSP of the Punjab Police. Karanveer Sharma is a resident of village Kaddon. An FIR number 123 was registered against the accused at City Police Station-2 Khanna on August 8, 2020. The case pertains to allegations of rape. Due to his prolonged absence, he had been declared a proclaimed offender by the court. The police are now interrogating the accused.
