In Ludhiana district's Burj Litta village, 25-year-old Harpreet Kaur has died under suspicious circumstances. Harpreet was three months pregnant. Her in-laws have accused her husband, Jaspreet Singh alias Jassa, of beating and strangling her to death. According to the family, the child in Harpreet's womb also died. Police have taken Harpreet's husband, Jaspreet Singh, and grandfather, Joginder Singh, into custody based on a complaint from Harpreet's relatives.
