A major controversy has erupted in Ludhiana city over the development works being carried out by the Municipal Corporation and the carpeting of roads. Gaurav Bhatti, a member of the Finance and Contract Committee (FCC) and a councilor from Ward No. 26, has raised serious questions about the quality of road construction and the estimation process in various areas of the city. The councilor is concerned about the estimated cost of the approximately 2.5 kilometers long road project from Sherpur Aarti Steel to Jamalpur Chowk.
