FIR against former Chief Parliamentary Secretary: Accused of assaulting lawyer in court premises; police have already given a clean chit.

The police have registered an FIR against Shiromani Akali Dal's senior leader and former Chief Parliamentary Secretary Advocate Harish Rai Dhanda, along with his son Chandan Dhanda, in connection with the alleged assault of a fellow lawyer over a dispute regarding money in the parking lot of the Ludhiana court complex. Notably, the police have registered the case nearly 8 months after the incident. The complaint was filed by Advocate Sanjeev Malhotra, who approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
