In Ludhiana, a former Deputy Director of Agriculture was robbed; video shows a saw being used on his forehead for protesting, resulting in 8 stitches, and a threat of being shot.

Two miscreants attempted to rob Dr. Mohinder Kumar Sharda, the owner of Sharda Agro Service and former Deputy Director of the Agriculture Department, near Lalton Khedi village on Pakkhowal Road in Ludhiana. The two miscreants posed as customers and entered the showroom, looking at some goods for a while before attempting to lock the gate from the inside. When Dr. Sharda resisted, the two started assaulting him. During this time, one of the miscreants attacked Dr. Sharda with a sharp saw, cutting his forehead.
