In Hyderabad, 33,000 Ganesh idols were immersed; in Mumbai, more than 5,000. In Madhya Pradesh, 5 people drowned during immersion ceremonies, and one person died.

On the final day of Ganesh Utsav, Ganesh idols were immersed in rivers, ponds, lakes, and artificial ponds across the country. In Hyderabad, more than 33,000 idols were immersed, while in Mumbai, around 6,000 idols were immersed. Over 25,000 police personnel have been deployed in Mumbai for the immersion processions. A total of 383 artificial ponds have been set up for the immersion. In Hyderabad as well, 25-30 thousand police personnel are managing security and traffic arrangements.
