A young man died due to electrocution in Jogeshwari's immersion pond: A child and a woman had also died from electrocution near the Ganesh pandal in Lalbaug area.

Another incident of electrocution has been reported in Jogeshwari East, Mumbai. The incident occurred at 12:20 pm near the Shyamnagar pond, close to the Lily White Building, where five artificial ponds had been constructed for the immersion of Ganesh idols. Four of these ponds were closed after midnight.
