Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis's wife, Amruta Fadnavis, said on Tuesday that there is nothing wrong if Muslims also come to watch Garba. Festivals should be inclusive of everyone. Amruta made this statement in response to a question about the statement made by Nitesh Rane, a minister in the Maharashtra government. Rane had opposed the entry of Muslims into Garba events during Navratri. This year, Sharadiya Navratri is on October 11th.
