FDA seizes ₹67-K chemically ripened bananas at APMC

The FDA seized ₹67,814 worth of 1,394kg of chemically ripened bananas from the APMC Turbhe Fruit Market in Mumbai, finding the fruit had been treated with Ethephon, a prohibited chemical. The agency also registered a case and referred the matter to the concerned department due to the unregistered chemical packaging.
