Barabanki's famous sweet, Chandrakala, will no longer be limited to local markets. Under the Uttar Pradesh government's 'One District One Dish' (ODOC) scheme, it will gain global recognition. This scheme includes Barabanki's Lal Peda along with Chandrakala. In the first phase, 11 new units for making Chandrakala will be established.
