Today, Mathura-Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh is celebrating the grand festival of Krishna Janmashtami. On the 5253rd birth anniversary of Lord Krishna, devotees have gathered in long queues at his birthplace and at the Shri Banke Bihari temple. A gem-studded yellow attire has been brought to adorn Kanha. People are arriving at the Krishna Janmasthan in different forms and costumes. Some were seen dressed as bears, while others as monkeys. This unique style of the devotees is becoming a center of attraction for people.
