Surendra Koli, the accused in the Nithari case, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Haridwar on Friday. He ran a tea shop in Bhupatwala, Haridwar. His body was found hanging from a noose in his tea shop. After spending nearly 19 years in jail, he was acquitted in his last case by the Supreme Court in November 2025 and released. Koli's name surfaced in Nithari, Noida, after children and women went missing there in 2005-06.
