The sit-in protest by residents of colonies in the Noida area under the banner of the Bharatiya Kisan Parishad continued for the 15th day on Monday. Five women out of the 35 people on a hunger strike had their health deteriorated on Sunday evening and were admitted to the district hospital. Despite this, the protesters have announced that they will continue their fast until they receive written assurance regarding electricity connections.
