In Noida, cyber fraudsters held a 65-year-old woman digitally hostage for 48 hours and defrauded her of ₹2.4 million. The fraudsters used the woman's Aadhaar card to intimidate her by claiming it was being used for illegal activities. They claimed that a case and warrant had been issued in her name. After threatening to send her to jail, they transferred ₹2.4 million into her bank account under the guise of an investigation. Based on the victim's complaint, the cyber police station registered a case on Wednesday.
