The Transport Department will conduct Operation Kavach for three days: from September 28th to 30th, a campaign across the state with an appeal to scrap old vehicles.

The transport department will now launch a three-day special campaign against buses operating in the state without permission and flouting regulations. From September 28th to 30th, such buses will be inspected and actioned under Operation Kavach. The aim is to curb road accidents and create a safe traffic system on the roads. This information was shared at an event organized by the transport department during the ongoing Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) in Greater Noida.
