PCS officer dismissed in ₹4,000 crore land scam: Land was distributed to private companies in Noida; the action has been ongoing since 2013.

The Uttar Pradesh government has dismissed senior PCS officer Harish Chandra from service. He is a 1997 batch PCS officer. He is accused of being involved in the leaseback scam worth approximately ₹4,000 crore during his tenure at the Noida Development Authority. Principal Secretary Appointment and Personnel M. Devraj has issued the orders for his dismissal. Harish Chandra is currently posted as the Resident Commissioner of Food and Civil Supplies Department in Kolkata, West Bengal.
