In Noida, a young man was beaten to death by his neighbor who had caught him on suspicion of stealing a mobile phone; five people are in custody.

A 27-year-old man died during treatment at the district hospital in Noida's Sector 39. The incident involves a young man who was allegedly beaten after being accused of attempting to steal a mobile phone. Police received information about the incident around 2 am through the 112 helpline. Police have taken five people into custody in connection with the case. The deceased has been identified as Pramod Kumar Rathore, originally from Hardoi's Sandila, and was killed on August 31st.
