In Noida, gas will be made from leaves and green waste: 6 companies have submitted proposals, with a capacity of 100 metric tons.

The green waste generated from leaves, dry branches, and tree trimming in Noida's parks and green belts will no longer end up in landfills. The Noida Authority is set to install a 100 metric ton per day capacity plant in Sector-80. This facility will produce gas and organic fertilizer from the green waste. On one hand, this will reduce the problem of disposing of green waste, while on the other hand, the produced fertilizer can be used in the city's parks and green belts.
