Ram Govind Chaudhary, a senior leader of the Samajwadi Party and former Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, passed away late Friday night. He breathed his last at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGI) in Lucknow. He was 80 years old. SP President Akhilesh Yadav expressed grief over his demise. Akhilesh wrote, "The passing away of senior Samajwadi Party leader and former Leader of Opposition Ram Govind Chaudhary is extremely sad."
