Mayawati launched Umashankar Singh's son: He will be joining the BSP for the first time and may contest from his father's seat.

BSP supremo Mayawati held a major meeting in Lucknow on Monday. In attendance was Yukesh Singh, the son of late BSP MLA Umashankar Singh, for the first time. It is believed that Yukesh will inherit his father's political legacy. He may contest the next assembly election from the Rasra seat in Ballia. Mayawati will launch him on the electoral platform soon. A 2-minute silence was observed at the meeting to pay tribute to Umashankar Singh, who was the BSP's sole MLA in UP.
