The fire, which started due to a short circuit, quickly spread to the medicines and other items stored in the shop. A family lives above the medical store, so if the fire had spread, it could have been a major accident. However, local people managed to control the fire before the fire brigade arrived, preventing any loss of life. The medicines and other items were reduced to ashes.
