A student from Uttar Pradesh was gang-raped in Delhi by an accused from Kanpur. The victim's wife stated that her husband is being framed and that she had run away after being scolded by her mother.

A 16-year-old student from Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh was gang-raped on a sleeper bus traveling in Delhi. The perpetrators are also from Uttar Pradesh. The bus driver, Kuldeep Sharma (45), is originally from Ladpur Paith village in Kanpur Dehat, while the conductor, Sandeep, is from Katri village in Kanpur Nagar. Police arrested both of them from the bus parking area in Timarpur, North Delhi. The bus used in the crime belongs to Vishwanath Tours in Firozabad.
