Supreme Court's observation in the Aakruti NSA case: The Noida DM cannot be removed from the process; the verdict has been reserved.

A significant hearing took place in the Supreme Court on Wednesday regarding determining the personal responsibility of Gautam Buddh Nagar's DM, Medha Rupam, in the case of Aakriti Chaudhary's NSA detention. The court stated that when a decision on detention had reached the District Magistrate through several levels, the DM could not be viewed as being separate from the entire process. After concluding its hearing in the matter, the bench comprising Justices SC Sharma and NK Singh reserved its verdict.
