In Patna, the Ganges River has risen above the danger mark, triggering an alert. The water at Gandhi Ghat has reached 1.11 meters above normal and is repeatedly rising by another 2 meters. Chandosi village has been completely submerged in water.
The threat of floods is continuously increasing in Patna and its surrounding areas, the capital city of Bihar. Due to a continuous rise in the water level of the Ganges, the river has crossed the danger mark at several major ghats in Patna. At Gandhi Ghat, the Ganges is flowing 1.11 meters above the danger mark, while at Digha Ghat, it is flowing 35 centimeters above. The Ganges has also reached above the danger mark in Maner and Hathidah. On the other hand, the Punpun River is also flowing about two meters above the danger mark.
