An 80 MVA transformer worth ₹10 crore will be replaced in Dumraon due to technical issues that prevented it from being operational. A new unit is being dispatched from Gujarat, with hopes of improving the electricity system.

The 80 MVA power transformer installed in the old Bhojpur grid to deal with electricity tripping, low voltage, and overload problems in Dumraon, Buxar, will now be replaced. The transformer, which was installed in April at a cost of approximately 10 crore rupees, had developed a technical fault. The department attempted to rectify the problem and bring it back into operation for several days, but after failing to achieve success, a decision has been made to install a new unit.
