The flood situation in Bihar's Patna region remains critical. The overflowing of the Ganges and its tributaries has disrupted daily life in several districts of the state. Approximately 10.26 lakh people are affected by the floods across 201 gram panchayats in 50 blocks of 11 districts, while in the capital city of Patna, the Ganges is flowing above the danger mark at multiple locations. The impact of rising water levels is no longer limited to just the plains and low-lying areas.
