The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for rain in Patna and 14 other districts today, while a yellow alert is in place for 7 districts. Winds of up to 40 kmph are possible in all these 21 districts. There is a special warning regarding lightning strikes. According to the Patna Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of the monsoon departing from September 19th. Before that, heavy rain is expected in several districts of the state. The weather is expected to clear up from September 22nd.
