Patna makes significant strides in the Clean Air Survey: Reaching 16th rank nationwide, Ward No. 9 and 43 top the state, receiving ₹4 million in awards.

The Patna Municipal Corporation has taken a significant leap in the Clean Air Survey 2026. Patna has secured 16th position among the country's 48 cities with a population of over 1 million. Last year, the city ranked 27th with 164.5 points, while this time it scored 178 marks in the evaluation of 37 parameters. Additionally, for the first time this year, the Clean Air Survey was also evaluated at the ward level. In this, Patna's Ward-43 has achieved a state-level ranking in its category.
