A pickup truck filled with foreign liquor was seized in Sheikhpura: 1.7 million rupees worth of liquor confiscated, interstate smugglers arrested; it was being smuggled under tires to Begusarai.

In Sheikhpura, the Mission police have seized a large consignment of foreign liquor. During vehicle checking at the border between Sheikhpura and Nalanda, the police recovered 85 cartons of foreign liquor from a pickup van. The estimated value of this seizure is around 17 lakh rupees. An interstate smuggler has also been arrested in connection with this incident. The police achieved this success on Friday. The liquor was concealed under old tires in the pickup van. The smugglers were transporting the tires under the pretext of smuggling liquor.
