Bihar's new development will connect UP to Kolkata via a 2 lakh crore, 13 expressway/highway: 6-lane corridor. It will reduce travel time from Gaya to Kolkata by 4 hours and Delhi by 12 hours.

In Bihar, 13 expressways/four-lane roads are being constructed at a cost of ₹2.06 lakh crore. The length of these roads in the state is approximately 2485 kilometers. Once completed, they will improve road connectivity to Delhi and Kolkata. With the Varanasi-Ranchi-Kolkata Greenfield Expressway, people can travel from Gaya to Delhi in 12 hours and to Kolkata in 4 hours. Recently, the Bihar Cabinet has approved the Buxar-Bhagalpur Greenfield Expressway, which is 336 km long.
