Durga Puja 2026: Artificial ponds to be built for idol immersion: 10 sanitation workers will be deployed in every ward of Patna, and a 150-foot-long immersion area will be built at Law College Ghat.

In light of Durga Puja, the Patna Municipal Corporation has intensified its preparations. Artificial ponds will be constructed at various Ganga ghats for the immersion of idols after Durga Puja. Additionally, 10 additional sanitation workers will be deployed in each ward of the city from Durga Puja to the culmination of Chhath Mahaparva. Immersion arrangements will be made in five zones, and barricading will be set up at the ghats. A temporary immersion pond, 6 feet deep, will be constructed at Minar Ghat.
