By 2030, Bihar's roads will be equipped with 1.5 million electric vehicles. It is estimated that 5.2 million vehicles will be registered in the next four years, out of which 30% will be electric vehicles.

To provide relief from the skyrocketing prices of petrol and diesel and to curb air pollution, the Bihar government has taken a major decision. The Transport Department plans to introduce more than 1.5 million new electric vehicles on the state's roads in the next four years. According to departmental data, an average of 1.3 million new vehicles are registered every year in the state. At this rate, it is estimated that a total of 5.2 million new vehicles will be registered in the next four years.
