The Patna Junction multiplex building will be constructed by 2030 and will also include a mall. The DPR for the station's remodeling will be sent to the Railway Board this year.

The state-of-the-art multiplex building at Patna Junction is expected to be completed by the year 2030. Work is underway on a plan to develop the railway station into a world-class urban hub. This will provide modern facilities to the 2.50 lakh passengers who travel through the station every day. GM Dimpy Garg of East Central Railway visited Patna Junction on Monday and inspected the re-modelling plan. The GM also took stock of the passenger facilities and basic amenities at the station.
