In Patna, the water level of the Punpun River has increased by 9 cm in 24 hours. The water level in Shripalpur is 2.95 meters above the danger mark. The Darda and Mahatmayeen rivers are also overflowing. Land dams and small embankments built to prevent river water have been damaged in several places. On Monday, a dam near Barhia Kol broke by up to 15 feet, causing river water to enter residential areas. Additionally, water is over-flowing from ring dams at about six locations.
