This marks the beginning of cooperation and shared progress between the two states: a 25-year-old dispute over the sharing of Son River water has come to an end between Bihar's Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary, and Jharkhand's Chief Minister, Hemant Soren. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday in New Delhi in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, and Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. According to this agreement, Bihar will receive 5.75 million acre-feet (MAF), while Jharkhand will receive 2.00 MAF.
