Grand preparations at ISKCON Patna for Janmashtami: Over 256 dishes to be served, 108 pots used for Abhishek (ritual pouring of water); the temple will be decorated with 8 tons of flowers.

Janmashtami is on September 4th, and a grand event will be organized at the ISKCON temple in Patna. The doors of the ISKCON temple will open at 4:30 am itself, and the program will continue until 1 am. There will be non-stop kirtans and a special abhisheka (ritual bathing) of Lord Radha-Krishna. From 10 am to 6 pm, arrangements for abhisheka will be available for devotees and special guests. For the decoration of the temple, various types of flowers weighing 8 tons have been brought from abroad, including Bengaluru, Pune, and Kolkata.
