National Lok Adalat in Bhagalpur on 27 benches: Judges said that 5.5 crore cases are pending in the country and 64 lakh cases are pending in Bihar; emphasis was placed on resolving matters through mediation.

In Bhagalpur, the third National Lok Adalat of this year was organized on Saturday. The Lok Adalat, held under the direction of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and the Bihar State Legal Services Authority, Patna, formed 27 benches in the district for the speedy disposal of pending cases. Separate arrangements were made for hearing cases of different natures. A large number of complainants and related parties reached the Lok Adalat and resolved their issues through mutual understanding.
