In Sheikhpura, the surveillance team arrested Praful Kumar, a Panchayat Rozgar Sevak (PRS), red-handed near the Ariyari block office on Tuesday while taking a bribe of ₹30,000. The action was led by DSP Satish Chandra Madhav. The team also took several files related to the scheme from the MNREGA office with them. There were demands for a MNREGA work of ₹6 lakh, but Shravan Choudhary, the husband of Jaymanti Devi, a Panchayat Samiti member of 60,000 Hazarpur Madro Panchayat, only received ₹25,000.
