The train service on the Patna-Gaya rail route has been restored from Wednesday after being disrupted for the past four days due to frequent surges in the water level of the Punpun River. All 10 cancelled MEMU trains have resumed operations, while 10 diverted express trains are now running via the PG line. However, trains will travel at a maximum speed of 30 km per hour on the bridge located between Punpun and Parsa Bazar stations. The situation will be assessed by September 15, and the speed will be gradually increased in a phased manner.
