A teacher from every district will receive a state award: Teacher's Day; 38 teachers will be honored at Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna.

The Education Department of the Bihar government has taken a historic initiative. One teacher from each of the state's 38 districts has been selected for the Rajkiya Shikshak Puraskar 2026. This is happening for the first time in the history of Bihar, where one teacher from each district has been compulsorily chosen for this honor. All 38 selected teachers will be felicitated on September 5th, which marks Teacher's Day, at Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna.
