Monsoon is active; heavy rainfall expected in several districts today: Patna recorded 39.8 mm of rain, with the temperature 4.7 degrees below normal.

Patna experienced rainfall from early morning on Friday as well. By 5:30 PM, 39.8 mm of rain was recorded. This brought the maximum temperature down to 27.3 degrees Celsius, which is 4.7 degrees below normal. Several other districts in the state also received heavy rainfall. On Saturday, heavy rainfall is expected at one or two places in East Champaran, Gopalganj, and West Champaran as well. According to Dr. Anand Shankar, a scientist at the Meteorological Center, Patna, the intensity of rainfall will continue from Sunday.
