The scope of property tax in Patna has increased: 4,771 new properties were added in six months, and 137 properties were identified in the field survey; a 100 percent penalty will be applied.

The Patna Municipal Corporation has intensified its property tax collection drive to increase revenue. As part of this, 4,771 new properties have been included in the corporation's tax net from April to the first week of September in the financial year 2026-27. The owners of these properties paid their property tax through self-assessment. Of these, 67.13 percent of property holders paid the property tax on the spot.
