Samastipur - The approach path of the pillar of the under-construction Bakhtiyarpur-Tajpur Fourlane has caved in. The incident occurred due to the strong flow of water from the Ganges River, with soil settling approximately 40 feet deep at three locations.

The approach path of Bridge No. 11 on the under-construction four-lane highway from Bakhtiyarpur to Tajpur, near Dumri village in Mohanpur block of Samastipur district, has caved in by about 40 feet due to strong currents in the Ganges River. The soil has settled in three separate sections on both sides of the bridge's approach path. Additionally, a crack has also appeared in the nearby road. Upon receiving information about the collapse of the approach path, engineers from the construction agency were immediately alarmed. A team arrived at the scene and began repair work.
