A major decision has been made regarding the transfer of 1.31 lakh police personnel in Bihar, ranging from constables to inspectors. An agreement has been reached on a new transfer policy during DGP Vinay Kumar's meeting with both police unions at the police headquarters. Now, transfers will take place every six years instead of five. Similarly, transfers within ranges will be done every 12 years instead of eight, and within zones every 18 years instead of ten. This will change the heavy rotation that takes place every year in June.
