The Bailey Road from Dakab Bangla to Ruknapur will be widened: Cabinet decision in light of VIP movement and heavy traffic pressure, with a 5-kilometer stretch to be grilled.

The state cabinet has approved a budget of Rs 39.80 crore for the widening of this 7.20 km long stretch, considering the heavy traffic pressure in Patna due to VIP movement. The road will be widened from Dakbangla Chauraha to Ruknapur on Bailey Road. During the widening process, the existing drain and footpath will be demolished to widen the road according to the available space in the right-of-way. The widening is expected to reduce traffic congestion and encroachments.
