In Nalanda, on Monday morning, a mother killed her one-year-old son by throwing him into a pit filled with water. The woman had taken the child to a bridge about 500 meters away from their home and then threw him in. When she returned home, her husband told her that the child was dead. Following this, the woman confirmed that her son had been thrown in. Her husband rushed to the scene and found his son's body floating in the water. The deceased, Ravi, was a resident of Kaji Bigha village in the Gaurichak police station area of Patna.
