Doubling of Bakhtiyarpur-Rajgir-Tilaiya railway section: E-tender for the first section has been issued for ₹575 crore; the second rail line will be laid from Karnauti to Biharsharif.

After years of waiting and the approval of the DPR and the Central Cabinet, the doubling work of the Bakhtiyarpur-Rajgir-Tilaiya rail section is finally set to begin on the ground. The Chief Administrative Officer's office of East Central Railway has issued an official e-tender for the doubling of the first section from Karnauti to Biharsharif, which is 26.292 kilometers long, on Saturday. This project, estimated to cost around Rs 575.14 crore, will be executed by EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) companies.
